In all sea slugs (Opisthobranchia) you will find the gills behind the heart. Two well known orders are presented here, the sea hares and the nudibranchs. The sea slugs originate from the sea snails, having the gills in front of the heart. The shell is usually internal or completely lost at some point during evolution.

The favorite food is usually hydroids, bryozoans and sponges.
