Distribution: Tidal zone or just below, along the entire Norwegian coast.

Characteristics: It is not always easy to identify chitons from images, but Tonicella rubra may be recognized by the yellow spots along the edge of the shell. The snail come in a huge variety of colors: green, brown, orange, blue and red is common. It is usually less than 2 cm long.
