Distribution: As the cuckoo wrasse, the goldsinny wrasse can be found as far north along the Norwegian coast as Trøndelag. It prefers rocky location where crevices make nice hiding spots.

Characteristics: The goldsinny wrasse is quite small wrasse, maximum body length is 18 cm. The color comes in different shades of orange. Its most significant characteristic is the dark spot on the tail, distinguishing it from the other small wrasses.
