Distribution: This tubeworm is well known from the entire Norwegian coast. It prefers hard substrate on any diveable depth, all the way up to the tidal zone.

Characteristics: The body length does not exceed 30 mm. The tube is white or brown, usually white at near the opening. The tube diameter is approximately 3 mm. The tentacles have white and red bands.
