Distribution: This tube worm lives on rocky substrate, anywhere along the Norwegian coast. It is usually found deeper than 25 meters.

Characteristics: It lives in a tube made from cemented sand. The ventral end is often erected from the ground. The white, semitransparent mouth ends in three characteristic spikes.
