There are registered 39 kinds of sea spiders along the Norwegian
coast. You may encounter them on any depth. They prefer rocky substrate and
current exposed locations. They feed on
hydroids and
moss animals. The body is often
elongated and segmented. At the back of the head (cephalon) there
are often two pair of eyes, one directed forwards, the other pointing
backwards.
