Distribution: Along the Norwegian coast, P. crocea is registered North of Hordaland.
Characteristics: The umbrella may reach a height and diameter of 25 millimeter. Typical for this species is the yellow (saffron) colored gonads. It has four radial canals and approximately 64 tentacles. The hydroid life-cycle stage of this species is unknown.
