Characteristics: The base diameter may reach 10 cm. The column has clearly visible tubercles. Approximately 100 tentacles are arranged in multiples of six. The color is usually pale pink or orange, sometimes almost white. The mouth opening has a more saturated shade of pink or orange.
Distribution: This is not the most frequently seen anemone, but can be found along the entire Norwegian coastline. Registrations are at depths between 25 and 660 meters. It seems to prefer hard, rocky substrate. It is not unusual to find it sitting on snail shells or even crabs.
