Distribution: It is not as common as the Dahlia anemone, but can still be found along the entire Norwegian coast. According to Moen & Svensen is is observed on the south west coast of Norway and from Nordland and further north, but the pictures below indicates a continuous distribution along the entire coast. It can be found on any depth, down to 400 meters.

Characteristics: It lacks the warts of the Dahlia anemone, and can grow considerably bigger. The tentacles are longer and arranged in multiples of ten. The color variations are pretty much the same, put the Urticina eques is often paler.
