Distribution: This hydromedusae can be found anywhere along the Norwegian coast. It seems to be most frequent in spring and early summer.
Characteristics: The diameter is usually less than 3 cm. The mouth is placed in the center of the bell, at the end of a narrow funnel, stretching below the bell. The bell is framed by a large number of fine tentacles. Four canals are connecting the mouth with a ring canal running along the bell margin.
