Distribution: This tube anemone can be found from Østfold to Troms. It is most common on muddy or sandy substrates in the fjords. The preferred depth is between 15 and 200 meters.

Characteristics: Adult individuals of the fireworks anemone are fairly easy to identify due to the brown and white striped marginal tentacles. The light, almost white labial tentacles surround a grey or light yellow oral disk. It is one of the larger tube anemones in Norway, in some cases reaching a length of 30 cm.
