Distribution: This small medusae is frequent during spring and summer along the entire Norwegian coast. The hydroid can be found on rocks and weeds. It is tolerant of reduced salinity.
Characteristics: It swims with regular contractions of the small bell (less than 1 cm). In the hydroid stage it is colonial. The fine stem is erect, slightly branched, but does not reach a length of more than 1 cm. The hydrants are orange or pink.
