Distribution: Thyone fusus is common along the entire Norwegian coast, as far north as the western parts of Finnmark. It lives on sandy substrates or gravel, deeper then 10 meters.

Characteristics:  Normally, only the thin, brown tentacles are visible, as they stretch 10-20 cm above the sea bed. The buried body is tapered in both ends.
