Distribution: Along the Norwegian coast it is usually seen between Vest-Agder and Sogn, but has been observed as far north as Troms. It can be found on any smooth surface. It is often seen on seaweeds.

Characteristics: This ascidian forms thin (1-2 mm) gelatinous sheets. The small zooids (animals) are densely scattered throughout the sheet. The colony is semitransparent. There is a pattern of yellow pigmented spots in the surface layer.
