Distribution: Along the coast of Norway, T. annulatus is registered as far north as Trøndelag. It can be found on a large variety of substrate. It is not unusual to encounter it in the tidal zone, but is perhaps more common on 10-30 meters of depth.
Characteristics: It can reach a length of almost a meter. The diameter is usually less than 3-4 mm. The color is often vivid or brownish red. It has with three white longitudinal stripes and rings. There is one dorsal line and two lateral stripes.
