• Norwegian: blomkålkorall

This soft coral forms bushy, usually white, but sometimes reddish or light brown, colonies. The non-retractable polyps often sit in groups of three.

It prefers rocky substrate on current exposed locations. It has been encounted on 15 meters depth, but is more frequent below 40 meters.

This soft coral is widespread in the northern parts of the Atlantic Ocean. Along the Norwegian coast it is only registered north of Hordaland.
