Characteristics:

Hydroid stage: No information.

Medusa stage: The bell can grow to a length of 2 cm and is higher than wide. The tip is somewhat pointed. The four radial canals are broad and ribbon-like with slightly jagged edges. The long tentacles grow in pairs, juveniles have only one pair of tentacles. Adults with 14 pairs have been observed. The medusa usually appears between april and october, usually later as you go further north.

Habitat:

It can be found on any depth where current might bring it.

Distribution:

This is true cosmopolitan, known from Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean, as well as the Indo-Pacific Oceans.
