Characteristics:

The body shape is slender like the the more common T. hombergii. On the other hand, the oral veil with its six to eight processes, is not divided in two parts. The body color is usually pale yellow or beige with dark brown blotches. The body length may reach 3 cm, but is usually less than 2 cm.

Habitat:

It is often seen grazing on the soft coral Dead man's fingers, and thrives on the same current exposed location.

Distribution:

It is widespread in the North-East Atlantic, from the Arctic to the western parts of the Mediterranean.
